Van Wyk Auto to Celebrate Opening of New State-of-the-Art Facility in Sheboygan

Van Wyk Auto, a family-owned repair shop with deep roots in

Sheboygan County, proudly announces the grand opening of its new service facility at 4040

Enterprise Drive on Sheboygan’s north side. This expansion marks a major milestone in the

company’s growth, establishing Van Wyk Auto as the largest independent auto repair shop

in Sheboygan County.

The new 13-bay facility doubles the shop’s capacity, to significantly reduce wait times and

increase service efficiency for customers. It also features modern equipment, a dedicated

alignment bay, and a comfortable customer lounge complete with a coffee bar, making

vehicle maintenance more comfortable and convenient than ever.

“This new location is a big step forward for both our customers and our team,” said Ben

Van Wyk, owner of Van Wyk Auto. “We’ve always built our reputation on honesty,

reliability, and family values. With this expansion, we can serve more families and

businesses while maintaining the same small-town trust our customers depend on.”

Founded in 1977 as Doug’s Auto Service, the business evolved through several ownerships

before Ben Van Wyk took the helm in 2019. Under his leadership, Van Wyk Auto has

steadily grown, uniting a second location in 2020 and now opening this flagship facility

designed to carry the business into its next chapter.

The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) played a supportive

role in Van Wyk Auto’s expansion. The SCEDC team provided guidance and resources to

help the company plan and finance the project, ensuring the new facility could become a

reality. This collaboration reflects the SCEDC’s ongoing commitment to empowering local,

family-owned businesses and strengthening Sheboygan County’s economy.

Beyond additional capacity, the new facility represents a major investment in the local

community. Van Wyk Auto’s expansion creates new jobs for technicians and support staff,

while offering a modern, welcoming environment for customers.
